Following discussion, we have decided to swap the coaching sessions around on a Saturday.

As from Saturday 2nd June the Expert Coaching will run from 10.00 to noon, this will be followed by Beginners and Intermediate coaching from noon to 2pm.  We have made this decision as it will mean that we will have more parents present first thing to open and run the canteen.

CANTEEN OPENING TIMES WILL NOW BE 10.00am TO 1.00pm.

Please note that the following sessions are cancelled and the club will be closed - Tuesday 22nd May and Saturday 26th May - We are sorry if this causes inconvenience,  but club riders are competing at the BMX World Championships in Birmingham all that week and we will not have the volunteers available to open.

SUNDAY 20TH MAY 

Some of the guys are down at the track doing some work to tweek the track – if you can spare a couple of hours to help just turn up !!!!

RACING ON TUESDAY 5TH JUNE (JUBILEE BANK HOLIDAY)

We have decided to hold a Jubilee Party for the children before racing.

If you and your children would like to attend, this will commence at 4pm.  We are going to have a BBQ and ‘street party’ style tables with bunting, hats etc., to celebrate this special event. Racing will follow at the usual times with registration from 6pm

We are planning on arranging some games together with fun races for the children after they have eaten.

We are providing this free of charge for any children who are racing so this will be included in the £3 race fee.

However, if adults would like to eat from our BBQ, burgers and hot dogs will be charged at £2 each.

If you could let me know if you will be attending the party before racing that would be great so that I can get an idea of numbers.

Let’s just hope the sun is shining !!!!!!

We always welcome new volunteers to help us out at Mid Lancs, there is no pressure to help. But if you can spare the time and would like to help just come and see us and we will find you a job !!!!!

At the moment, we seem to be struggling for help in the canteen during beginners coaching – Thank you.

For your information, the club will be closedthis Saturday 21st April., due to the National Racing Event taking place at Perry Park in Birmingham.  Apologies for any inconvenience – coaching will return the following Saturday 28th.  Gates as usual on Tuesday 24th from 6pm.

GATE PRACTICE SESSIONS ARE £2 TO MEMBERS AND £3 TO NON MEMBERS. 

RACE FEES ARE £3 PER RIDER                      GATE PRACTICE COMMENCE AT 6PM.

RACE REGISTRATION FROM 6PM TO 7PM.                                                                       

For your information, Mid Lancs have made changes to our weekly race and gate practice sessions this year to Tuesday evenings.

We feel that we should explain why we have made this decision after many many years of holding our weekly sessions on Wednesday evenings.

With the introduction of the Club Talent Development Programme Sessions being held at the Manchester Indoor BMX Centre every Wednesday evening, which are aimed at both inspiring and coaching young riders to improve their racing skills, we felt it necessary to change our weekly club night to allow as many of our talented riders to attend these sessions as possible, without compromising our excellent infrastructure which supports our novice riders as well.

After discussion at our AGM last week, we agreed that, to allow us to achieve the above, it was necessary to make these changes to allow all riders to still participate in a weekly club night.

We have ensured that none of our race nights clash with other north region club races and we hope you will understand our reasoning behind this decision.

Sorry guys but we have had to cancel our coaching sessions – gates for Saturday feb 25th, This is due to the lack of respect our track has been given from motorbike riders They have ripped up the whole track & destroyed the last two berms !!

It is not rideable at the moment…

So on Sunday 26th Feb from 10am onwards we are asking for as many helpers as possible to come down and help us give our track a bit of  TLC !

There is alot of hard work needed, Please if you can help for an hour or more it will be much appreciated..

There will be FREE FOOD & DRINK from our lovely ladies in the kitchen to keep you all warm and motivated
